TULSA, Okla. – John G. Prokopuk of Bartlesville was the $1 million grand prize winner on Sunday, Aug. 16, at Osage Million Dollar Elm casino. Prokopuk will receive a monthly check of $83,333 for the next year.
The drawing was held with 350 finalists and their guests at the Osage Event Center, 951 W. 36 Street North. Guests qualified for a chance to win the $1 million since May 1 at seven Osage Million Dollar Elm casino locations in Tulsa, Bartlesville, Sand Springs, Hominy Skiatook, Pawhuska and Ponca City.
Four more winners were selected for a four-day trip to the Bahamas to play poker in the Sports Legends Challenge. Those winners were Rick Schaan, Ramubhai Patel, Cecil Carpenter, all three of Oklahoma; and Mary Ann Palmer of Coffeyville, KS. Those winners will get to play Poker with 25 Sports Legends for a chance at winning a share of $10 million.
